Delete your Doptyn account

Delete from inside the app (fastest)

1. Open Doptyn and go to your profile.
2. Tap the settings icon (top right) to open Edit Profile.
3. Scroll to the Account section and tap Delete Account.
4. Confirm (you'll be asked for your password if your account has one).

Or request deletion by email

If you can't access the app, email founder@doptyn.com from the email address on your account with the subject "Delete my account", including your username. We process requests within 7 days and may ask you to verify ownership of the account.

What happens when you delete your account

• Immediately: your account is deactivated — your profile, matches, and chats become unavailable, and you're signed out on all devices.
• 30-day grace period: if you change your mind, log back in within 30 days and your account is fully restored.
• After 30 days: your personal data — name, username, email, phone number, date of birth, bio, profile photo, login credentials, gym associations, and dating/matching data — is permanently deleted or irreversibly anonymized. This cannot be undone.

Data that may be retained

• Posts, dops, and comments you shared may remain visible, attributed to "Deleted User", with no link to your identity. Email us at founder@doptyn.com if you also want this content removed.
• Records we are legally required to keep (e.g. safety reports and moderation records) are retained for as long as the law requires.
